Ayari Perkins
Founder & DirectorAn interdisciplinary systems thinker with a background in water supply, geosciences, and community development, Ayari works at the intersection of water, people, and inner development, where technical precision meets the complexity of human systems, and where scientific insight becomes a catalyst for resilient communities. From designing and evaluating water treatment systems to translating technical research into practical, community-centered solutions, her work is grounded in a simple question: how can we build systems that are not only technically functional, but more human, more enduring, more meaningful?
She is particularly drawn to the potential of the Inner Development Goals as a lever for transformative leadership, bridging the inner capacities of individuals with the external challenges of water resilience and community development. Her perspective is shaped by work across the United States, Latin America, and Germany, spanning the private sector, nonprofits, and research institutions. Most recently, she worked in the Department of Integrated Regional Water Management at the Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe.
Ayari holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she also completed coursework in Geology. She is certified in Sphere Standards for Humanitarian Response and in WASH Systems Strengthening through UNICEF.
